While I was in New York, I decided to pop in to the Sephora in Times Square and do some shopping. My mom laughed at me, reminding me that I can buy cosmetics at home, but seriously.. it’s the Times Square Sephora and it’s huge! I kind of had to shop there. I could have easily dropped $1000 at this store but kept it under $200 instead. Here’s what I bought.
Flamingo Eye Shadow Palette by Violet Voss
This is my first Violet Voss purchase! I’ve heard good things but never really got around to buying anything until now. I’m not going to lie, I mostly bought this palette because I am obsessed with flamingos but this is actually a really lovely palette! It’s mostly bright pastel colors, and a few of these I will probably rarely use (let’s be honest… bright yellow is just not my color.) but the pinks and purples are vibrant and gorgeous.
This palette offers a variety of tropical hues that channel the feel of a much needed vacation. It features complimentary staple shades with shimmering toppers in glistening pinks and airy bronzes. This eye shadow palette is highly-pigmented and easy-to-blend.
Too Faced Then & Now Cheers to 20 Years Eye Shadow Palette
This palette is a steal of a deal. First off, it’s HUGE. Like seriously, this is the largest eye shadow palette I own. Also this palette is super cool in that it has 10 of Too Faced’s original shades as well as their modernized versions. This palette features pearl, matte and glittery shades in a creamy, buttery texture for easy blendability and one-swipe payoff for highly-pigmented color. There’s a mix of gorgeous browns, purple, blues and green – the purple is my personal favorite. And did I mention that this palette smells like cake? BRB. I’m hungry.
I know you probably expect to see pictures of me flaunting the eyeshadow but I’m a working mom and I don’t have time for that kind of stuff. You can see some of it in my selfies on Instagram that I post occasionally. What can I say? I’m not a beauty blogger. I’m a whatever blogger.
